Happy Vaisakhi

Baisakhi or Visakhi has two distinct events associated with it. Firstly it is a Big Thank You Day for Farmers in the northern part of India. It is the day traditionally farmers start harvesting their main crop (Rabi crop). Celebrations are in place for the hard work put in and bounty of food which is ready for the world.  Baisakhi festivities are at its best in Punjab and Haryana.
Further, in 1699 on this day Guru Gobind Singh Ji founded the Khalsa Panth and the holds  a special place in the life of Sikhs. There are melas and langars to mark the event.
Baisakhi is celebrated on April 13th and or April 14th every year.
