Easter Craft Ideas  to decorate Easter baskets
Fun DIY Easter craft for kids

Easter crafts are mostly made at home by the kids. But wait a minute!!! Adults too like to display their craft making skills on Easter.

Cute Bunny Basket
Materials:

  • Pink craft paint
  • Soup can
  • Paint brushes
  • Wax paper or newspaper
  • 2 Wiggle eyes
  • Pink chenille stem
  • Pink pom pom
  • Eyelet flat lace
  • 2 Oval Woodsies
  • Glue Stick
  • Scissors

Method:

Firstly wash and dry the soup can. Paint the soup can and the 4 Oval Woodsies with white paint. Let dry. Paint the middle side of the Oval Woodsies with pink paint. Keep aside and let the paint dry. Glue the wiggle eyes to make the bunny eyes. Then glue the pom pom for the nose on the bunny. With pink paint draw the mouth on the bunny. Glue on the bunny ears and the paws. With chenille stem make the handle of the basket. Stick the ends of the chenille stems to the inside of the can. Let the bunny basket dry completely.


Easter Envelope

Materials:

  • Pink construction paper
  • 4X6 envelope in yellow shade
  • Scissors
  • Pencil
  • White construction paper, optional for eyes
  • Red marker, pen, or crayon
  • Black construction paper, optional for eyes

Method:

Firstly wash and dry the soup can. Paint the soup can and the 4 Oval Woodsies with white paint. Let dry. Paint the middle side of the Oval Woodsies with pink paint. Keep aside and let the paint dry. Easter Crown

Materials:

  • A paper plate
  • Pink construction paper
  • Markers or crayons
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Glitter

Method:

Firstly make a slit through the center of the paper plate with scissors. While making the cut, leave about an inch at the edges of the plate. Cut three more slits in the similar manner. Then move the triangles formed by the cuts upwards, thus forming the crown shape. Color the crown pink with markers or crayons. Glue paper lilies to the Easter crown.


Painted Stones

Materials:

  • Acrylic paints
  • Smooth flat stones
  • Markers
  • Paint brushes
  • Water

Method:

Firstly wash and dry off the stones. Mix the paints and pour into paper cups. Then make your kid paint the dried stones. Continue until all stones are colored. Keep the colored stones aside to let the paint dry. Then your kid can draw simple designs with the marker pens. If they commit any mistakes use the water in the jar to wipe off. The water can be used to clean brushes. These beautifully painted stones can be used as paper weights or ornaments.


Easter Cross

Materials:

  • Various craft jewels
  • White satin ribbon
  • Cardboard
  • White craft glue
  • White acrylic paint
  • Acrylic sealer spray
  • Paint brush

Method:

Help your kid in cutting a cross out from the cardboard. This can be done easily with a box cutter. Make a hole at the top of the cross with a punching machine. Then color the cross white with acrylic paint. Keep aside so that the paint is dry. Then spray the acrylic gloss sealer over the cross to give it a shiny finish. Allow it to dry completely. Then glue the craft jewels onto the cross. When the glue is dry, insert the ribbon through the hole in the top of the cross.


Paper Plate Bonnet

Materials:

  • Paper plate
  • Ribbon
  • Punching machine
  • Glue
  • Ribbon
  • Decorative materials

Method:

Firstly punch two holes in the rim of the plate. The holes made should be opposite to one another. Thread the ribbon into the holes. Then tie the two ends of the ribbon. Now let your kid have some fun in decorating the hat in the way they like with crayons, ribbons, flowers, beads or bows.
