Say NO to all deep fried stuffs and HELLO to air fried snacks.
Food cooked in air Frier gives a similar texture and taste as to what the fried items give, but the best part is that you oil intake is hardly a teaspoon as compared to those deep fried oily snacks.
One deep fried samosa has 800 calories where as one air fried samosa cuts it off to 150 calories. Isn’t it amazing?

For Samosas

2 cups All purpose flour
1 tsp Ajwain seeds crush it little bitl
Salt – To taste
2 tbsp  lukewarm oil
Water – 1/2 cup

For Filling :

4 – medium size boiled potatoes
2 Green chili finely chopped
1/2 cup boiled Green peas –
1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
1/2 tsp Ginger -paste
3/4 tsp chili powder Red
1 tsp Coriander powder
1/2 tsp Cumin powder
1 tsp Amchur mango powder / Dry
1/2 tsp Garam masala
Salt – as needed
2 tbsp  Oil
2 tbsp coriander Fresh – finely chopped

How to make filling :

Heat oil in a wok add green chilies and ginger paste and saute it till the raw smell goes off.
Add peas and the spices and mix all together and stir for few minutes.
Now add boiled and mashed potatoes and mix nicely
Fry for another few minutes till the spices and the potatoes mix well properly and mixture is totally dry
Add fresh chopped coriander and mix well again. Turn off the gas and let the filling cool.

How to make Samosa cover

Add oil in all purpose flour. Add ajwain, salt and water and knead into a bit tight dough not smooth like for purees
Cover the dough and keep aside for 25 mins
Divide the dough into 10 equal portions. Roll out each portion into longish chappatis
Cut in half and make a cone and and fill in the potato filling.
Seal the edges by applying little water.
Similarly make rest of the samosas and place them on a tray.
Let the Samosas rest for half an hour
Pre heat the Air fryer for 5 mins at 160 degree C.
Brush the samosas with oil
Arrange the samosas in the air fryer and cook at the same temperature for 15-18 mins or until golden brown in color.

Serve hot with mint chutney or tomato ketchup
