Walking down the aisle is an important event in a person’s life. Everything associated to this event must be special and wedding invites are no exception. The first thing you have to do is decide, who will announce the wedding. Sometimes the couples prefer to do it themselves; while in some cases the parents of the bride or the groom do it. The invitation can be either formal or informal, based on what you choose. Phrase like ‘request the honor of your presence’ is generally used in wedding invitations.
The name of the bride and groom along with their parents is commonly listed in wedding invites. An example of how it can be used for the bride is ‘Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Major request the honor of your presence at the marriage of their eldest daughter, Angelina’.

The groom’s name must follow the bride’s name, it can be written like ‘to John James Willis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralf Willis.' Write the date, mention the time and list the complete address of the venue on the card. Give a telephone number, where the guests can call up in case they want to know anything more about the ceremony. Another thing, which the wedding invite must clearly state and reflect, is the wedding theme (if any). The theme of the ceremony can be anything; it can be a beach wedding, eco-friendly wedding theme, colored wedding theme, summer wedding, winter wedding theme or any other theme. Choosing the wedding theme is entirely upon the couple. The invitation gives the first impression to your guests about the wedding ceremony, so choose carefully. Take special note of the color, paper and the font used for card.
If the couple is planning to have a reception at a different location, a separate invitation card can be used. For this, a reception card can be inserted to the invitation card separately, to those who are invited for the reception as well. If the reception follows the ceremony, then a single card can serve the purpose. The wording which are used for invitations are very important; you must be very careful while doing this.
