Thanksgiving Day is a patriotic holiday which advents the arrival of the Harvest season therefore it is also called the Harvest festival. Thanksgiving is an annual festivity and is celebrated in various European countries. It falls on the on the fourth Thursday in November.
Interestingly, the period from the Thanksgiving Day to the New Year's Day is referred to as the "holiday season." Thanksgiving Day is a family festival and is celebrated with lot of zeal and enthusiasm in US, Canada and several Western countries. On this day people express gratitude to God for his blessings, bountiful and give thanks to dear ones for their love and support.
Feasting with family is an integral part of Thanksgiving Day celebrations.
