Santa Claus The roly-poly red suited, reindeer riding Santa Claus has become the symbol for merry holiday festivity. The American symbol of St. Nicholas popularly known as Santa Claus, came from the Dutch version of Sanit Klaas. Back Santa is merry old men with red and white clothes. It’s believed, Santa comes on the Christmas Eve with eight or nine flying reindeer. He carries gifts, candies and chocolates in his bag to distribute it amongst little kids.
