to have been originated in Germany and are mostly found in shades of black and grey. Many people however widely consider the fact that these breeds of dog serve as excellent watch dogs and are a unique German dog breed.
2. German shorthaired pointer---- With a height ranging from 21 inches to 25 inches, these breed of dogs are regarded as selective German dog breed referred to as hunting dogs because they are very energetic and aggressive. They have a short, thick layer of coat and require regular brushing by the owner. Also known as "Deutscher Kurzhaariger Vorstehhund' by the Germans, they have a life span of 12 to 14 years. If you're sports freak and prefer to go for exercise on regular basis, these dogs would definitely be a good exercise partner.
3. Giant German Spitz---- one of the favorite German dogs, these breed of dogs are believed to have been originated from the Nordic's, as a result of cross breeding between Samoyed and Lapphund's. Physically, they have a white or black coat with small feet and curled tail. They make great watch dogs.
