Dog Tracking Collar |
|
|
When you go outing with your dog in the woods, a dog tracking collar can come in very handy. With a dog tracking collar you will find your dog very easily if it loses its way and gets separated from you. A dog tracking collar with GPS system can be used universally to find, pursue or track your pet dog. A dog tracking collar consists of a GSM modem and a GPS receiver which is put inside the collar. |
With the help of a dog tracking collar you can monitor the location of your dog from far away and very easily through a mobile/ cell phone. This is possible through a suitable GSM coverage. You can find two versions of this tracking system -
GPS dog tracking collar, with or without a belt
GPS dog tracking backpack for dogs which can be fitted to a harness
Any lost dog can be easily located if it is wearing a dog tracking collar. A GPS tracking unit is usually attached to a normal collar. A dog collar(link to Dog Collar - Index Page) with a tracking system consists of two parts -
a transmitter which is fitted to the collar
a hand-held receiver
If you are going out on a hunting expedition with your dog by your side, then don't forget to put a dog tracking collar on your dog. Every second a short radio signal goes out from the transmitter to the hand held receiver at a certain fixed frequency. The receiver calculates its distance from the transmitter by measuring the strength of the signal that is emitted by the transmitter. For this reason some receivers of dog tracking collars have directional antennas attached to them. Such an antenna helps to find the direction from which the signal is coming and also the exact location of the dog.
