Dog Grooming Instructions

Dog grooming instructions are tips and suggestions to keep your canine companion hale and hearty. Our pets can't take care of their concern and needs, so they have to depend on us. And it is entirely our responsibility to maintain the hygiene and health of our furry friends. Proper and regular grooming is an important part of pet care. Because it not only
makes our pooches look great but also affects their physiological and psychological conditions. So, groom and pamper your doggie regularly and make it a habit to do so. Follow the mentioned Dog Grooming Instructions and make your pooch a happy companion!!!

Bathing: Bathing plays an important part in the grooming session. Try to make the bathing session a pleasant experience. Do not bathe your dog too often; because frequent bathing reduces healthy oils from the coat and skin, dries out the skin which will eventually trigger reactions like scratching and irritation. However, the interval between two baths is largely dependent on the breed and activities of the dog.

Bathing Instructions:
Firstly, place your dog inside a bathtub, bucket or in your sink. It is important to put a rubber mat for secure footing. Always remember to keep hold of your dog so that he or she does not try to get away. Then put cotton balls in your dog's ears to prevent water from entering into his or her ears. Dogs do not like getting water inside their ears and it is unsafe because it can cause infection. Then rinse your pooch with warm water. Then apply good quality pet shampoo and massage the coat of your dog in the direction opposite to the growth of its hair. By doing this all the dead hairs and the dead skin will be removed. Apply shampoo between the toes, rectum, behind your dog's ears and under the chin too. However remember not to shampoo the head while you are shampooing your dog's coat. After shampooing the coat, softly massage your pooch's head with both hands. Be cautious that the soap or shampoo doesn't get inside your dog's eyes or mouth as it can trigger allergic reactions. Thoroughly rinse and dry the head with warm water and then rinse the rest of the body. Then dry your dog with a towel.
