Lets face it most Rakhi Gifts for brothers and sisters are pretty run of the mill stuff. The most common complaint being that the options are too limited which leads to one gifting the same thing year after year. So how about you get a little innovative this time round and truly make this a special Rakhi for your sibling. The one thing that we tend to forget it that at the end of the day it's the though that counts more than the action. |

So make a special gesture this Rakhi and carry the memorable moments in your heart forever. Here's a look at some Special Rakhi Gift Ideas.
Dig into all the old video recording and prepare a walk down memory lane. All the wonderful vacations you spent with your sibling, the fights, the tears, the joy, the sorrow and the downright ridiculous, put it all together in one CD. Now get creative and add an audio recording to it, a monologue describing all those memories, and don't forget to tell them how much they mean to you and thank them for making your life so much more special. This one's a real tear-jerker and is bound to open up your sibling's tear glands.
Alternatively, should you not have access to any video recording as does happen to a lot of people, you can prepare a collage which will reconstruct those special moments for your sibling. Dig into the old family photographs and find the ones which have the both of you'll, a record of your journey from infancy to childhood to adolescents and so on. Paste the pictures on a large chart paper and add captions to them. The captions could be funny or of a more emotional note. Also include a card (hand made preferably) telling you sibling how much you love and cherish them. It does involve a bit of work but a small price to pay for that smile on your siblings face!.
Write a Poem! It's as simple as that; write a poem especially dedicated to your brother or sister. This will make a truly unique Rakhi gift . Of course it helps if you have some talent at it or else go back and stick to the first two ideas. Once you have written your poem, you could either record it on a CD, add some music if you are the musical sort and Voila, you have a song! Or else, you could make a nice little hand painted card and write down the poem in calligraphy or your special fancy handwriting. Oh come on, we all have one!
Again this one is so simple, you'll wonder why you don't do it more often. As we get caught up in the daily trials and tribulations of life we tend to ignore its simple pleasures. Indulge your sibling and take him/her out for a special meal and mull over the 'good times' over a gourmet meal. Or if you want to make it more special, don the chef's hat and cook a special meal. Even if you burn it a little bit, you'll get a whole lot of pats on the back!
