As a layman one could define Rose tea as a Tea made of any rose flower or plants belonging to genus Rosa.
According to online dictionary the rose tea means any of several hybrid bush roses derived from a tea-scented Chinese rose with pink or yellow flowers.
Rose Petal Tea Recipe
To prepare rose petal tea it is not a time consuming job. When we can have rose flavoring Cold drinks then why not hot rose petal tea. A simple recipe to make rose petal tea is given below:
Ingredients:
Take packed scented rose petals, which would be around 15 large roses, wash and pat dry them. Some tea leaves.
Process:
Pre heat the oven to 200 degrees, place the rose petals on un lubricated baking sheet, leaving the door slightly open. Now dry the petals for 3 to 4 hours till they are fully dried. Now process and mix the tea leaves and rose petals until they are finely chopped and mixed and store in an air tight container.
Brewing Tea:
Put teaspoons of tea in the water according to your taste and the flavor you require. Now bring the water to boil and pour the tea. Steep for 5 minutes and then stir and strain and now you can serve either hot or cold, as you wish. The above recipe can serve 3 cups.
