Love Poems

Love has always been the fascinating topic around which most of the scholars, writers, poets, songwriters and many other artists have tried to give shape to their creations. But this task looks a little difficult, as it is not easy to understand this plain yet complex feeling. Many artists have made fruitless attempts in trying to portray the real essence of love in their productions or creations but have not been so successful. Of all the different kinds of ways in which the true meaning of love can be portrayed and that too in an artistic manner, the love poems have always been the most popular ones.

The love poems enjoy the reputation of being the ones, which can leave an everlasting impression on the hearts of those lovers who have been the ardent believers of the concept of love. Like other human emotions, love also has many different aspects and thus the poets have tried to explore all these aspects in the form of different love poems like sad love poems, funny love poems, short love poems and many other forms of love poems.

To let you enjoy the beauty of these love poems, we have come up with some of the best love poems.

1. You And I – By Anita Higgins
2. Slow Tears - By Martini
3. Remember That I Love You – By Anonymous
4. The Garden Of Love – By William Blake

You And I
By Anita Higgins

You and I are connected
in a way that goes beyond romance,
beyond friendship,
beyond what we've ever had before.
It has defied time, distance,
and changes in ourselves
and in our lives.
It has defied every explanation.
Except one:
Pure and simply, we're soul mates.

I can't explain, I just feel it.
It's there in the way my spirits lift
whenever we talk.
The sound of your voice brings me home,
in a way I can't explain.
It's in the delight I feel, when we laugh
at exactly the same things.
When I'm with you,
it's like a tiny piece of the universe
shifts into place.
A place it's supposed to be,
and all is right with the world.

These things and so many more,
have made me understand
that this is a once in a lifetime,
forever connection.
A connection that could only exist
between you and me.
And deep in my soul,
I know that our relationship
is a rare gift.
One that brings us
extraordinary happiness
all through our lives.

Slow Tears
By Martini

I look up
as a tear rolls slowly
down my cheek
I think about better days
and wonder if I'll feel that way again
you look at me
with those eyes I know so well
always serious, so deep and insightful
as though you're always in control
But not today
not now
Now you look so scared
like for once you don't have the answer
I gaze at you
looking deep into those hazel eyes
Hoping to understand
why you've said those things you did
I wonder for a moment
if this is all a dream
if I shall wake in the morning
and be relieved
you look at me
with a confusion I have never seen
slowly pull me towards you
and wipe the tears from my cheek

Remember That I Love You
By Anonymous

Remember that I love you,
as your lifeless body I hold.
Remember that I love you,
as you walk down streets of gold.

Remember daddy loves you,
he's been very sad since you've been gone.
Remember daddy loves you,
in his heart you'll always live on.

Remember Shania and Mercy,
they love you so much too.
They can't wait to see you in heaven,
when they can play with you.

And don't forget your littlest sis,
even though she's young, she still knows
that you are precious to us all.
She blows you a kiss from Kierra Rose.

So now it's time to say "good-bye"
until I see you again.
I will try not to cry everyday,
If you promise to remember when.

Remember when you were here,
with mommy and daddy at home.
Remember how deeply you are loved,
and that you'll never be alone.

So it's a short good-bye until then,
I look forward to holding you.
Have fun with Jesus, family, and friends,
and once in awhile, think of us too

The Garden of Love
by William Blake

I went to the Garden of Love.
And saw what I never had seen:
A Chapel was built in the midst,
Where I used to play on the green.

And the gates of this Chapel were shut,
And "Thou Shalt Not", writ over the door;
So I turn'd to the Garden of Love,
That so many sweet flowers bore,

And I saw it filled with graves,
And tomb-stones where flowers should be:
And Priests in black gowns, were walking their rounds,
And binding with briars, my joys & desires
