Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving and Supplication or Intercession forms the part of our daily prayer to God. This structure of prayer is given by acronym ACTS---Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving and Supplication or Intercession. This is an order of prayer where we focus on the existence of God and praise Him for his benevolence. |
Adoration is the part of prayer where we focus on God rather than ourselves. While we start our prayer, we begin with adoring God and praising Him. We adore Him for what he is and what he ahs given us. We think of Him and praise his kindness. Even Jesus Christ has also taught us to first love God with all our heart, mind and soul. Praise is also an excellent remedy for times when we fear the attack of evil forces and we feel lowly. In such cases, praise brings in the presence of God's power into a situation.
Confession makes us clear all our doubts between God and ourselves. We all have sinned. If we say that we are without sins then we are deceiving ourselves. But, if we confess our sins unto God, then he is just and loving, and he will forgive us for all our unrighteousness.
Thanksgiving is thanking God for everything that he is doing for us and for whatever he has given us. Every time we can recall the wonderful things that God ahs bestowed us with, the most important being this wonderful life given to us to spend under our loving and caring parents. Hence, we need to constantly thank God for his continuous blessings.
