The Torchlight Procession
This takes place on December 29th, Parliament House at St. Giles Cathedral at 6:30 pm. You just have to get hold of torchlight and a wig and you can join this noisy, rowdy hairy Scotsmen as they drag the Viking warship up the Edinburgh’s Calton Hill. After reaching the hill, there is burning of crackers and display of fireworks and the blazing flames light up the night sky. Money raised from this procession goes to Edinburgh's One City Trust and Radio Forth’s Help a Child Appeal
