Well so your child or friend or brother is graduating from college and you are running around in circle wondering what you can get him without burning a hole in your pocket. Fret not, we’ve compiled a list of Inexpensive graduation gifts which are very useful and would definitely be appreciated. |
Electrical Gadgets
A really good set of quality jumper cables is only about $15 to $25 and along with a battery charger as well they will cost you about $25 to $50. They are really smart for graduates and with all their hobbies, they will definitely need one. They are great for motorcycles, ride on lawn mowers and all the family cars. It sure makes him look like a stud, when he can make something work again. A very unique graduation gift indeed.
Safety Cards
For female grads, let me tell you about Triple A cards. The American Automobile Club can save your daughter, sister or friend from a potentially dangerous situation in a dark parking lot or on the side of the road with a flat tyre. Triple A membership cards offer look-out services, free towing and myriad of services. If for some reason there is no one around to give her a jump start and rescue her from a dead battery, well then Triple A is only a phone call away with. And the fact that all of that comes for just about $75, it’s a real steal.
First Aid kit
If the graduate has a car, how about making up an emergency first aid kit for the car? It could fit in the glove box, and could have a few band-aids, a small tube of antibiotic cream, a package of aspirin, a few cotton balls, a small gauze roll, some cough drops, etc. Pack it all in a heavy-duty ziploc bag, then make a pretty page insert using your computer to slip inside the bag. The page insert could have something like "First Aid Kit" printed on it, and have some colorful graphics, or list the contents of the bag, or list some useful first aid instructions (which you could probably find on the net, and then copy). Digital Camera
A gift that many graduates would love would be the digital camera. Give it to them before the big day, and they will have something to not only show off but also capture the moment. The Canon Power Shot is an excellent and luckily relatively inexpensive digital camera priced at a little over a $100. But hey, what’s a $100 for somebody you love.
