Coffee is the second most commonly traded commodity in the world, trailing petroleum. It is a beverage, served hot or cold with ice, made out of roasted coffee beans. ‘Coffee houses’ have sprung up all over the world with many a brands securing a major chunk of the market. Comfortably furnished these coffee ‘bars’ provide a rather relaxing atmosphere, where one can laze around, meet friends, read a book and even conduct meeting. relaxation, and a stress buster. Many coffee houses offer ‘shisha’ which can be smoked through a ‘hookah’ and in countries where it’s tolerated, notably Amsterdam (Netherlands) cannabis too is smoked. Mixing coffee with alcohol is a popular trend too. Try out these interesting recipes at home-:
Irish Coffee (Alcoholic)
Ingredients-:
- 1 ˝ oz Irish whiskey
- 1 tsp brown sugar
- 6 oz hot coffee
- Heavy cream
Directions-:
- Combine whiskey, sugar and coffee in a mug and stir to dissolve.
- Float cold cream gently on top. Do not mix.
Mochacino
Ingredients-:
- Any type of coffee you like
- Hot chocolate
- Sugar
- Whipped Cream
Directions-:
- Fill coffee mug 3/4 full with coffee.
- Stir in 3 or more heaping tablespoons of hot chocolate mix, depending on your taste.
- Add 1 - 2 teaspoons of sugar. Fill rest of glass with whipped cream. Enjoy!
Iced Cappuccino
Ingredients-:
- 2 oz. Espresso
- 6 oz. Steamed milk
- Whipped cream (optional)
Directions-:
- Fill the glass with ice, add steamed milk and pour espresso gently down the side of the glass.
- Top with whipped cream if desired.
