Introduction
Father's Day has become one of the most popular occasions held globally. People all over the world take this opportunity to honor their fathers on this celebrated day. Since this occasion is held in different fashion across the countries, they have assigned different Father's Day Date.
While some of the European countries like, Spain , Portugal , Italy , observe Father's Day on 3rd week of March, Brazil and Taiwan are the only countries which celebrate this day on second Sunday and 1 st week of August respectively.
Date of Father's Day in different countries
- Republic of Korea and Romania celebrates Father's Day either in the 1 st or 2 nd week of May every year.
- People of Denmark observe Father's Day in the 5th of June and Lithuania celebrates it on 1 st of June.
- Third Sunday of June is widely dedicated to the Fathers especially in the countries like, France, UK, Netherlands, US, Canada, Argentina, Chile, Malta and Japan.
- Citizens of Uruguay and Dominican Republic lionize Father's Day on Second Sunday and last Sunday of July respectively.
- The oceanic countries like, Australia and New Zealand observe Father's Day on 1 st Sunday of September.
- Most of the Scandinavian countries like, Sweden , Scandinavia , Finland , Norway , etc dedicate 2 nd Sunday of November to their Fathers.
- Luxembourg is the only country which observes Father's Day in the month of October (First Sunday of October)
