Father’s Day is a special day for the man of your life. A day to honor and show love to our dear dads. Father’s Day celebrations are one way to thank our fathers for every single thing they have done to help and support us in all that we did. No matter what is our age, to them we are kids.

Father’s Day celebrations differ from place to place. Even the date changes from one country to another. But the feelings of the heart cross all boundaries reflecting the same emotions. Let us bask in this feeling of bounding and see how sons and daughters around the world celebrate Father’s Day in full gaiety and fervor.

The earliest of Father’s Day celebrations dates back to the Babylon times. A young boy named Elmesu wrote a Father’s Day message on a clay card nearly 4,000 years ago. In the card the message was wishing his father a good health and a long life. But the roots get in-between and no one knows what happened to Elmesu or his father. But the tradition that they started off still exists and today Father’s Day celebrations can be seen all around the world.

In the countries where the Catholic Church hold a prominent place and influence the culture, Father’s Day is celebrated on St. Joseph's Day (March 19).

But in recent times Father’s Day celebrations are no longer associated with any religion and have taken on a more secular approach. Today this day signifies the attachment shared between a dad and a child. Yet the celebrations differ from country to country. So let’s see the different dates of Father’s Day Celebrations around the world.
