Its only when one comes across the word CAKE, so when Christmas is known for the cakes, as the cakes are traditionally associated with Christmas how can one stay without it. People make special cakes on their own or might get baked from a bakery. The puddings on Christmas are the cakes. These cakes are made around the Christmas time having different flavors.
Types Of Cakes
Cakes can be both egg and egg less cake, depending on the taste. The color may vary from light to dark. The size also varies starting from half a kg unto what one wants. Some of the well-known cakes known and made every year are:

Basic Ingredients For Christmas Cakes
120 gms margarine
2 eggs
120 gms sugar
1 Tablespoon milk
175 gms refined flour
1 level teaspoon baking powder
50 gms mixed fruit (Currants Sultanas, raisins)
gms almonds chopped
15 gms walnuts chopped
Method
Add Cream margarine and sugar till it appears to be light and fluffy.
Beat the eggs and gradually add to the above mixture.
Add the flour, sifted with baking powder.
Blend the batter well and mix the fruits and the chopped almonds and walnuts.
Stir in the milk so that the mixture becomes even and smooth.
Grease a round cake tin and grease it.
Pour the ready cake mixture now.
Cover with a grease-proof paper.
Bake in a preheated oven at 350 degree F for 20 minutes.
When the top is golden in color, take it out from the oven.
If desired, spread some hot chocolate icing over it.
