Santa Claus, also better known by the names of Saint Nicholas, Saint Nick or Father Christmas, is popularly known as the present-giving person or Saint who can be seen distributing Christmas gifts to the children on the eve of Christmas. Each name of Saint Nicholas is distinct but it refers to the Santa Claus character . As soon as any one talks about santa Claus, numerous Santa Claus pictures starting emerging before our eyes.
Just like the origin of Santa Claus is interesting enough to get you hooked on your seats, the same can be said about the story of the origin of Santa Claus Pictures. The story begins in 1600s when Santa was known by the name of Sancte Clause and it was only in 1800s that the Santa Claus, that we know began to emerge. Godeys magazine's issue of December 1867, depicted an engraving of an old bearded man, who was shown to be wearing a long tunic suit. The man was also shown to be carrying a staff in one hand while his other hand was shown to be holding a doll and pointing towards a group of children.
The final picture of Santa Claus as we know today was given by Haddon Sundblom. His outdoor hoarding advertisements, for coca cola had a well-built grandfatherly man with human proportions and a reddish skin texture.
