Birthdays are special occasions, which are celebrated with family, friends and relatives. Generally kids hold special importance for this day and celebrate it by giving birthday parties to their friends, while adults celebrate it by going out for a dinner in some restaurant.

While buying the cake, many things have to be considered. For example its flavor, icing and quality etc but when you are making the cake own your own only a birthday cake recipe is required.

First combine cocoa, flour, sugar, baking soda and salt. Mix eggs, vanilla and oil in a separate bowl. Add egg mixture to cocoa mixture and mix them well. Stir in carrots and pineapple and pour into three nine inch greased cake pans.
Bake it for thirty minutes and then cool it.
ICING: Beat the cream cheese, butter and powdered sugar well. Fold in coconut and nuts. Spread on the carrot cake and refrigerate until ready to serve
Almond Cake
1 package chocolate cake mix with pudding
1 large can evaporated milk
2 1/2 cups sugar
26 large marshmallows
1 package coconut -- (14 oz.)
1/2 cup margarine
1 package chocolate chips -- (12 oz.)
1 package slivered almonds -- (3 1/2 oz.)
In an inch pan bake chocolate cake according to directions on package. Mix one cup of evaporated milk, one cup of sugar, marshmallows and coconut in a saucepan. Pour over hot cake. Melt margrine and then add remaining 1 ½ cup of sugar and ½ cup of evaporated milk. Boil it and add chocolate chips. Stir until the chips are melted, then add almonds. Pour the mixture over the cake.
Twinkie Cake
1 package white cake mix
1 small pack instant vanilla pudding
1/2 cup oil
3 eggs
1 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter, softened
2 teaspoons vanilla
4 tablespoons flour
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup crisco
1 cup water
Mix the cake mix, oil, eggs, pudding, water and one table spoon of vanilla. Beat the medium and pour it into a greased and floured pan.
Bake at 350 degree Fahrenheit for 40-45 minutes.
In the saucepan mix the flour with the milk. Cook until thick, stirring constantly. Cool it and add sugar, salt, Crisco, margarine and one teaspoon of vanilla. Beat until fluffy and store it in refrigerator.
