Purple Flower Weeds

Dgreetings » Fragrance Flowers » Purple Flower » Purple Flower Weeds

The difference between weeds and wild flowers is a matter of great debate. However most of the gardeners agree to the fact that weeds are plants that grow out of place and threaten an area's natural growth. Most gardeners try their best to keep weeds away from their gardens as it prevents other plant to grow. Weeding and spraying with chemicals are two methods followed by gardeners to keep weeds away.
However there are some weeds that grow along road sides and unused areas which look very pretty. There are some purple flower weeds that look very good. Some of the common purple flower weeds are as follows:
  1. Henbit is common purple flower weed blooming annually in the month of February. They are pinky purple in color.

  2. Kenilworth Ivy, also known as the ivy leaved toadflax grows mostly on walls. They have tiny purple and yellow flowers. However if they are allowed to grow in the garden then its thin pink stems tend to get intertwined with the stems of the garden flowers. This is the reason why gardeners do not allow this type of purple flower weeds to grow in the garden.

  3. Herb Robert is a form of wild geranium. They are sometimes allowed to grow within the garden premises because of its colorful leaves.

  4. Self heal has little purple flowers. But its leaves are prettier than the flowers. Its dark green leaves have purple veins and are interesting to look at.

  5. Bush vetch bears simple and beautiful purple blossoms and is grown by some gardeners in wild flower gardens.
Purple flower weeds have their own unique natural beauty. They are native to a particular region. But some purple flower weeds are parasitic in nature and it is advisable to remove them. There are many more interesting articles on purple flowers in Dgreetings.com.
