Making a candle with dried flowers is very simple. First a pillar or tapered candle is selected; a long and thick candle is always preferred. If the candle is too thin you won't be able to form a pretty dried flower pattern. The candle should be plain and of a light color; white, cream, beige, baby pink and light orange candles are ideal. If the candles are too dark or have too many designs on them, the beauty of the dried flowers will get overshadowed.
The candle is made by melting paraffin or beeswax and molded to form any desired shape. Once that is done the dried flowers and leaves will be embedded on the candle. You must make a mental image of how you are going to arrange the flowers; once the design is ready you can get started. Dip a paint brush in hot wax and place a drop of hot wax on the candle. Then place each dried flower or leaf on that molten wax. Fix it firmly and apply a thing coat of motel wax on it; same procedure should be repeated for each item. Once the dried flower arrangement is complete the entire candle should be dipped in wax for a second and then allowed to cool.
