|
| Well if you happen to be in Sydney during the Easter time then the Royal Easter Show is a must visit. The Easter Show that goes back to the early 1800’s is an iconic Sydney event. It’s a real urban celebration that is eagerly awaited with great excitement by rural communities and those in capital cities. The Easter show is an embodiment of Sydney’s roots. In the early 1800s, in an effort to provide an exceptional opportunity to tie up the economy with masses living in both the country and city of Australia, the Royal agricultural show was started.

It was simply called ‘Show’ before Queen Victoria gave the consent to employ the Royal moniker in the year 1891. With colorful parades, amazing displays, fun rides, delightful street theatre, and a variety of culinary delights, Sydney Easter Show has become the one of a kind event not just in Australia but over the world.
