Earth Day Themes

Earth Day is an occasion, when all of us must come together and transform our words into actions. Most of us realize the importance of preserving the earth, but how many of us actually do this and encourage our kids as well? If you have not yet acted on this, start now. The kids can be introduced to this concept through the various earth day themes. There are many interactive earth day games, where kids can take part and have fun; at the same time they can also learn about the importance of this event. There are different games, through which one can incorporate the earth day themes for kids to understand it easily. Take the kids out for a walk in the park. Arrange for some food and snacks to be served to them while they are out exploring.

Point out to them the different trees in the park and also the birds and other organisms, which might be there. Tell them about the lifecycle of the trees, birds etc. After that, you can tell them the importance of preserving the earth and the little things by which they can contribute to this.

Some of the things, which you can teach the kids on this day, can be: not to waste water and electricity and others. Educate them about the scarcity of these resources and how the judicious use, of the same can be helpful for all. You can also organize some other events, where you can play some earth day songs and also show movies, which deal with this topic. There are numerous movies and songs in this category, from which you can choose. Just keep in mind the preference of the kids, and everyone is sure to have a good time. After watching the movies, let all of them take a pledge to do their bit in conserving the earth.
