Phoradendron flavescens: This mistletoe is used for Christmas decoration and is an inhabitant of North America. This mistletoe grows as a parasite on the trees from New Jersey to Florida. This mistletoe is said to be a Christmas flower
Viscum album: This is the second type of mistletoe that was believed to have some supernatural powers and so it became associated with many traditions. It originates in Europe and is a small flowering shrub bearing yellow flowers and white berries that are considered to be toxic.
