She thought to bring a flower for baby Christ but the climate was unfavorable and she could not found any flower. Madelon started crying when an angel passing by stopped to see why the girl was weeping. The angel decided to provide comfort to the girl and comes out and touches the ground. As the angel touches, the first Christmas rose grows on the place touched by the angel and this made Madelon happy, as she had something to gift baby Christ. She then gifted baby Christ with Christmas rose.
