|Use lanterns for lighting and hang pirate flags to make the look more authentic. Sprinkle a few plastic gold-coins here and there. You can even put a toy cannon as the centerpiece.
Ask your guests to dress up as pirates. Make sure they all hang around in skullcaps, pirate scarves and eye patches. A ship shaped birthday cake would be the best for the occasion. Serve the food in plates that have ships or skulls drawn on them.
There cannot be a better game than a treasure hunt in a pirate party. Your guests would be thrilled to hunt the treasure out with maps and riddles for clues. Invent new games like ‘pin the eye patch on the pirate' and let your guests have a party! The kids can also be kept busy in a story session with someone telling the pirate stories we have always loved as kids!
