Halloween Birthday Party

If your birthday is some time near Halloween, or if you love the theme itself, a Halloween birthday party would be the best idea for celebrating your special day.

Start the party preparations with Halloween invitation cards. The cards should be black or purple with some scary picture. A picture of the birthday boy or girl dressed for the last Halloween would also do well.

It is the decorations that will bring the actual Halloween feel in the party. So decorate the party ground to make it as scary and creepy as possible.
Black should be the official color with splashes of purple, orange or white here and there. Suspend paper bats on the walls and fill the room with skull masks and spooky spider webs. If the room is dimly lit, use glow torches to make things spookier. Make sure you have the pumpkin ready as a centre piece.
Let evil laughs and eerie screeches fill the air. You can either get these sounds from the market or can record them yourself.

Get skeleton masks, scary head bands, witch hats and brooms for the guests. Make sure that they already know that it's a Halloween birthday party and come dressed accordingly. You can get a face painter to paint the guests' faces for the party. Try to stick to the theme in case of the food as well. You can order a pumpkin shaped birthday cake, and draw scary faces on the cupcakes and other tit-bits.

Think of the games like ‘ghost in the graveyard' that would be specially fun to play in a Halloween ambience. You can come up with simple games like ‘pin the nose on the pumpkin', or ‘guess the pumpkin weight'.

The party favors would of course be related to the Halloween as well. Scary faces can go for the tattoos, and the candies must have ghosts or witches drawn on them. The snaps of the guests dressed in their Halloween outfits can be good thank you cards. You can even think of a witty thank you note like “The spirits thank you for turning up”.

Ideas for a Halloween birthday party are truly exciting, so hunt your brains for some ingenious ones and give your guests the creepiest and the best birthday party they have ever attended.
