Bastille Day Recipes


The 14th of July celebrations can be considered complete with the varieties of authentic French food items and desserts. Have a look at some of the delightful Bastille Day recipes that compliments the entire Bastille Day celebrations. 

Croissants :

Ingredients Required :
  • Dry yeast
  • white sugar
  • flour
  • salt
  • milk (warm)
  • Chilled butter
  • vegetable oil,
  • warm water.
Directions :
1.First mix the fresh yeast with sugar, and then allow it to stand until it becomes foamy and creamy.
2.Make another mixture of sugar, salt and warm milk.
3.Combine it properly with some vegetable oil and yeast, mix properly.Squeeze it, until it becomes smooth.
4.Cover it, and wait for sometime.
5. Deflate and let it chill. Massage butter over it gently.
6. Put the dough in a plastic bag and refrigerate it for near about 2 hours.
7.Then give it the desired shape by cutting its squares in half diagonal position.
8.Pre-heat the oven for around 475 degrees F and bake it for 15 minutes.
9.Your yummy Croissants are ready.

Apple Gazed Carrots

Ingredients Required :
  • Apple cider
  • sliced carrots
  • butter,
  • chopped and baked apples
  • cinnamon
  • Water
Directions :
1.Firstly, melt the butter in a pan. Stir it in between until the color turns slight brown, then put it for standby and allow it to cool. 
2.Add the apple cider, cinnamon and water to the slight browned butter.
3.Boil the mixture at a low heat, and then add the carrots, and continue stirring.
4.If required, you can also add some more water, cook it until the carrots and the apples become tender.
5.Serve it with roasted chicken; it would be a great combination.
