| Baisakhi celebrations hold colorful and vibrant pictures of festivals. As farmers of Punjab and Haryana mainly originate this festival, as this is a festival of crop harvesting, they take out bright and gaily attire from their closets. Men and women together perform ‘bhaqngra’ and another dance form, ‘gidda’. Later they visit gurudwaras to attain lots of activities held there. In the evening, observers exchange greetings amongst each other with gifts and sweets. Special foods are made on this day to make the event more sumptuous like kada prasad or sweetened semolina. |
