| Baisakhi 2008 is going to be observed on 13th April, 2008 on Sunday. This festival marks commencement of another new year and first day of the Baisakh month, as per Nanakshahi calendar. Usually, this event is celebrated on 13th of April, except once in a 36 years when it is to be celebrated on April 14, instead of April 13. According to Sikhism, this festival marks the day of foundation of Khalsa group in 1699. People observe this festival with immense importance and visit Gurudwara as major activities are conducted there. |
