Arbor Day is generally celebrated on the last Friday of April. However, in some places the date is different because, the appropriate time (season) for plating trees is not the same everywhere.   • As a parent, you must make sure that you get hold of all the things, which they will need for making the crafts. Some basic things like glue, colored pencils, marker, pen, pencil, cellotape, scissor etc will be required for most of the crafts.

  • An easy Arbor Day craft is making a string of leaves. To make this craft, kids will need construction paper in various colors like green, yellow, red, orange, blue etc. Some of the other things that will be, required are glue, cellotape, stapler, string, scissor and crayons. To begin, draw the pattern of a leaf on the construction paper; cut it out with a scissor. Make sure that you leave a considerably big stem in the leaf, as you will hang that portion on the string.

Arbor Day in USA

Arbor Day USA is the time for a national holiday in the country. In the various states of United States, the day is celebrated in various days. The National Arbor Day is celebrated on the last Friday, of the month of April. On this day, people all over are encouraged to plant trees and take care of them. It is no enough that one goes on planting lots of trees, what is equally important it to take good care of the trees. There are various places, from which you can get the trees, seeds or sampling to plant on this day.

Tree City USA is a distinction, which many cities vie to achieve; this title is given by the Arbor Day Foundation. To qualify as a Tree City USA, communities have to fulfill various criteria.For, the city or town must have a Tree Department or Board, which will be responsible for taking care and managing of trees in the area. Some of the other criteria are having a community forest program with a yearly budget of at least $2 per capita. There must also be evidence that the community runs a forestry program, supported by the allotted budget.
